Athletes will race through a challenging two-mile course at historic Victor Ashe Park, a multi-use park in the heart of Knoxville.
The AAU Cross Country National Championships draws around 2,000 athletes each year. The event is hosted by the Amateur Athletic Union in conjunction with the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission.
“Knoxville is a town that has something for everyone, and we look forward to showing the athletes and their families why our city is a great place to visit and compete,” said Chad Culver, Visit Knoxville Sports Commission Senior Director.
This is the fourth time Knoxville has hosted the event, with previous times in 2018 and 2019.
“Having a strong local organizing committee like Visit Knoxville is one of the keys to a successful event. With their help, we’re continuing to raise the standard for what a cross country event should look like,” said Charles “Coach O” Oliver, AAU Track & Field National Chair.
