​​    How To Qualify: AAU Junior Olympic Games   
Option 1:
Step 1: District Qualifer 
The top sixteen (16) finishers in each individual ,relay and multi-event shall advance from the District Qualifier to the Regional Qualifier. Competitors shall only advance from the District Qualifier in to the Regional Qualifier in the events that they actually competed and qualified at the District level. Districts may be granted a waiver from conducting a District qualifying meet by the AAU Track and Field Executive Committee if petitioned by the District Sport Director.
 
Step 2a: Regional Qualifer 
Advancements from Regional Qualifiers to AAU Junior Olympic Games: 
A. Running Events - The top five (5) athletes advance 
B. Field Events - The top five (5) athletes advance 
C. Relays - The top five (5) teams advance 
D. Multi - Events - The top three (3) athletes advance 
 

Step 2b: Host Regional Qualifer (The region where the AAU Junior Olympic Games is taking place this year)
Advancements from the Host Regional Qualifier to AAU Junior Olympic Games: 
A. Running Events - The top eight (8) athletes advance 
B. Field Events - The top eight (8) athletes advance 
C. Relays - The top six (6) teams advance 
D. Multi - Events - The top three (3) athletes advance 

Option 2:
Additional Qualifying Opportunities:

The top eight (8) finishers in each event and each age division qualify from the AAU Primary National Championships (combined results), AAU Club Championships, AAU West Coast National Championship, and AAU Las Vegas National Championship to the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
