After their recent successful Track Meet, several cases of water were placed in storage for future use by the Team. The water was donated by a local Kroger store to be distributed to competing athletes at the meet. After watching the unfolding disaster in the local area, it was decided that the water be put to good use helping the local community.
Head Coach, Paul Durisseau said, "The historic rains that fell over our area this week, has left many families homeless and living in local shelters. We felt that we could help out with a donation of water and some helping hands. Our Team is not just about running track, we are acutely aware of the community around us and in this case we felt we could help."
The Texas Stallions were proud to work alongside the Red Cross, Interfaith of the Woodlands and the local Community Center. The families were very grateful and appreciated the hard work shown the Team.
The Team will be looking for more ways to help the local community in the future.
