This edition of the AAU Track and Field Spotlight features Marchan Adkins, of Adkins Trak Timing, who recently received a community service award from the Illinois Park and Recreation Association.

In the program for the awards, the appreciation for Adkins was clear:

"Mr. Adkins is a native of Rockford who fell in love with the sport of track and field while attending East High School. Mr. Adkins also understands the importance of sports tourism and the economic impact it has on our community. Because of his passion and persistence, Rockford has hosted USATF Zonal Championship meets, AAU National Championship meets, Jr. Olympic State meets, and District Qualifier meets. Mr. Adkins is so inspired to help local youth excel in the sport that he loves, he has donated thousands of dollars to the Rockford Park District FIRE Track and Field program, and welcomes FIRE athletes to participate free of charge."

Adkins Trak Timing is very integral to the success of the AAU and we couldn't be more appreciative! Thanks for Marchan and everything he does for today's youth.
