Newly elected AAU Athletics National Chair Charles Oliver recently held a meeting at Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, FL with the members of the Florida Gold Coast district.

The purpose of the meeting was a meet and greet with the new national chair and to hear his philosophy and see his vision for AAU Athletics.

“I was very excited about the opportunity to meet all of the members in the Florida Gold Coast district,” said Oliver. “It’s a very strong area and we have some very outstanding members that are very competitive on the national and international level.”

Oliver was also there to announce the recent partnership with the city of Miramar and the Ansin Sports Complex.

“Ansin Sports complex has been the host of several district and regional qualifier meets in the past,” explain Oliver. “We’re very excited about moving forward and bringing additional meets to the complex and the city of Miramar.”

Ansin Sports Complex is a track and field venue located in Miramar and is one of only four Class 2 internationally certified tracks in the United States. In 2011, Ansin Sports Complex hosted the 2011 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. The complex sits on 24 acres and amenities include a 9,000+ square foot recreational facility with a game room, multi-purpose room and computer lab and the state of the art track.
