ORLANDO, Fla. – AAU Cross Country will hold their National Championship Race on Saturday, December 7 at the Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The event is scheduled to have approximately 365 teams, running more than 1,500 athletes. Participants will compete in six age groups, ranging from six and under to 18 and under and will represent four different countries – United States, Bahamas, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.
Course walks are scheduled by age group starting at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, December 6. Race day begins Saturday morning with the National Anthem scheduled at 8:50 a.m.
Distance for Age Divisions:
6 and Under Boys & Girls – 1,000 meters (1K)
7-8 and Under Boys & Girls – 2,000 meters (2K)
9-10 and Under Boys & Girls – 3,000 meters (3K)
11-12 and Under Boys & Girls – 3,000 meters (3K)
13-14 and Under Boys & Girls – 4,000 meters (4K)
15-18 and Under Boys & Girls – 5,000 meters (5K)
Registration and packet pick up will be on Friday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Victor Ashe Park. Course maps can be found online at http://www.aauathletics.org/ and at the link below. AAU Cross Country encourages you to print a copy of these maps. They will not be available at Packet Pick-Up.

AAU Parents and Coaches can also get involved with their own 5K race at the completion of the National Championship races. All Coaches must have an AAU membership to participate.
