TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – It was a busy day under sunny skies at Apalachee Regional Park on December 5th. Both the 2020 AAU Cross Country National Championship and the 2020 AAU Racewalk National Championship were held simultaneously at the innovative course, with thousands of athletes in attendance.

With pleasant conditions, both events were a success and champions were crowned individually and at the team level. The 2020 edition of the AAU Cross Country National Championships enjoyed its largest pool of athletes since 2005.

It was also a historic day as racewalking enjoyed its first ever standalone AAU national championship event in 2020.

The priority of the Amateur Athletic Union is the health and safety of our athletes. We are proud to be able to host several of our National Championships around the nation when and where it is deemed safe to do so. Precautions related to social distancing, masks, hand sanitizer and other requirements will be implemented at this event. We will follow the order of the CDC and the state of Florida’s guidelines as they evolve and will provide updates as they become necessary.
