Positive Coaching Alliance’s 2024 Coach of the Year Regional Winners

Nine AAU Coaches are in the running to be a National PCA Coach of the YearBy: Troy MacNeill
ORLANDO, Fla. (January 17, 2024) - Nine (9) coaches from AAU programs were honored as Positive Coaching Alliance’s (PCA) 2024 Coach of the Year Regional Winners.
PCA received nearly 500 outstanding nominations for coaches who inspire their athletes in sports and in life. Out of those 500 nominated coaches, with over 1,000 letters of reference, 24 Regional Winners were selected.
In the coming weeks, the PCA selection committee will identify 10 National Winners who will each receive $500, and recognition on PCA's website, newsletters, and media campaigns. Additionally, one Coach of the Year will be selected and win $5,000 for their school or program and receive an all-expense paid trip to San Francisco to be featured at our annual Game Changer Awards & Benefit at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, on March 21, 2024.
Below are the nine (9) coaches participating in AAU programs who have been selected for their outstanding dedication to our athletes:
- Josh Beeman – Wrestling – Montana
- Amanda Comer – Gymnastics/Multi-Sport – Texas
- Steven Gamble – Track & Field/Cross Country – Florida
- Quintin Jackson – Basketball/Multi-sport – Minnesota
- Richard Lee – Marial Arts – California
- Marques Lowe – Track & Field – Illinois
- Rohan Phipps – Track and Field – Maryland
- Steve Scott – Martial Arts – Missouri
- Haleigh Smith – Volleyball – South Carolina
Congratulations to all the coaches who were recognized by PCA for their dedication and tireless efforts on behalf of their athletes! You take your time and help teach our athletes lessons on and off the playing surface and continue to lead the next generation towards success.
