AAU Member Named as the Winner of the PCA Coach of the Year Award

Track and Field coach who participates in AAU events wins the 2024 PCA Coach of the Year Award
ORLANDO, Fla. (February 9, 2024) – We are thrilled to announce that Marques Lowe, a Track & Field coach who participates in AAU events, has been recognized as the 2024 Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Coach of the Year!
Marques Lowe is the coach for The Vipers Track Club out of Champaign/Kankakee, Illinois. Coach Lowe has made an amazing impact in the community through his track club. The Vipers Track Club has a focus bigger than just winning and athletics, and Coach Lowe feels it is his responsibility to extend his hand to others in the hope that his assistance will be the spark that guides their future endeavors.
Through his leadership, inspiration, passion, and dedication, every athlete involved in the Vipers Track Club has become a better student-athlete. Coach Lowe understands the positive impact sports can have on an athlete’s life as a whole. He continues to teach the next generation important life skills and help them succeed on and off the track.
As Coach of the Year, Lowe will be receiving $5,000 for his school or program and receive an all-expense paid trip to San Francisco to be featured at PCA’s annual Game Changer Awards & Benefit at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, on March 21, 2024.
Coaches who participate with AAU had a great showing in the 2024 PCA Coach of the Year nominations. PCA received nearly 500 outstanding nominations for coaches who inspire their athletes in sports and in life. Out of those 500 nominated coaches, with over 1,000 letters of reference, 25 coaches were selected as regional winners. Nine (9) coaches participating in AAU programs were selected as regional winners for their outstanding dedication to our athletes.
