This events allows athletes in the 14 & Under divisions a chance to earn All-American status.

The AAU 14 and Under Indoor National Championship was developed out of a grassroots indoor youth track program and has been running strong since 2003. As a result of participating in this event, the youth are exposed to the many facets of university life and often choose to explore college to further their education and build upon career opportunities. This indoor program has grown into three National Championships held in 3 separate states, Illinois, Michigan and Maryland which is now held in Virginia Beach due to outgrowing the complex in Maryland.

“Our goal in creating this program was to give athletes the opportunity to compete while developing their skills and performance by participating in a structured activity. In addition to promoting life skills, building stamina, self-confidence and character are primary of the series,” said Karen Hall, Meet Director. “Participants are encouraged to be cognitive of sportsmanship concepts to become productive individuals in the community.”

Athletes will be divided into eight age groups: 5-6 & Under, 7-8 & Under, 9-year-old boys/girls, 10-year-old boys/girls, 11-year-old boys/girls, 12-year-old boys/girls, 13-year-old boys/girls, and 14-year-old boys/girls. The action will begin on Saturday, February 10 at 10 a.m. with the 4 x 800 Meter Relay.
